Tasks and Blueprints
Who this is for
Section titled “Who this is for”Users with tasks access. Creating, editing, and managing task work are distinct permissions; a task can also be limited by owner scope.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”Open the task that owns the work. Confirm the current assignee, due date, and status before changing it.
- Use Tasks to find assigned work and keep the next action, status, and due context current.
- Create a task only when the relevant record and accountable owner are known.
- Update the source task as work changes; do not mark a task complete merely because a related external action was requested.
- Use a blueprint where your team has configured a reusable task structure, then review the created tasks individually.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”Task progress remains visible to the records and people linked to it. A blueprint creates a repeatable starting structure, not evidence that its generated work was completed.
